Team Jenkins is so much more than an AAU program. Sure, the athletes are provided the skills needed to dominate in any game. But what has drawn us to this particular team cannot be bought or donated. It's the family atmosphere of Team Jenkins. The sense of belonging and acceptance. Building each other up. Holding each other accountable. Persevering through adversity and promoting leadership skills. Open communication. I could go on and on! We are forever grateful and proud to be a part of the amazing family. With this being our first year participating in Team Jenkins AAU basketball program we were extremely impressed. We were greeted with a warm welcome and introduced to several staff. The staff were very pleasant, professional, and organized. We were given written hand-outs and verbal information on tournament dates, requirements and expectations. As I viewed basketball practice, the coaches were very respectful and caring but pleasantly firm in teaching the students basketball skills and drills. After the practice, I was approached with a smile and a handshake with the staff making sure I had their contact information in case there are any further questions. We look forward to a great and exciting season. We highly recommend Team Jenkins AAU basketball program for quality training.

Words cannot explain how thankful I am to have been referred to Team Jenkins for my son. This team is not only about basketball! This is a creation of a community that came together collectively to ensure the children are well rounded. I can no say enough about the administration along with the coaches. This is our sons second year with the Team Jenkins family. We are so grateful to Team Jenkins for the opportunities and the challenges that will come along with this upcoming season. But we are ready and excited to grow and learn together. Teamwork makes the dream work!!

From the directors to the coaches to the staff, Team Jenkins is a group of people that care about the players and their development. They create a family atmosphere where everyone looks out for each other, spends time together and cares about each other. These directors are out there fundraising right along side the families, helping raise money for the benefit of the players and their families. We have been involved with other programs in the past that are clearly for profit and not development, throwing kids who can barely dribble on AAU teams and charging insane amounts of money. Team Jenkins is doing it the right way and we are so grateful to have found them.

I would like to say this experience for my son and I was special coming to Team Jenkins this year being in the tournaments where the competition is real not looking for easy wins just to boost up a program making kids think they are better than what they are. I know this season helped me realize that he has a lot more work to put in just due to our conversations, him telling me he is glad there is summer league for him to keep playing and training. He said he will be back next year to put a stamp on his name. I would like to say thank you Horace and Tenesha Jenkins for giving my son an opportunity to play the game he loves in your AAU program and to Coach Stro for coaching him this season and in the summer league.

I have spent my life involved in basketball. I have never met a better teacher and coach than Horace Jenkins. He has more knowledge in his pinky finger than most coaches have in their entire body. He is an inspiration to both the kids he coaches, and the parents who get to watch him coach. He has done a world of good for my sons, and I am very blessed to have them involved with a coach, and a man of such high moral and ethics principles. I tell my sons, it is like learning philosophy from Aristotle. He is a basketball genius. Thanks for all you do for all the kids you inspire, and their parents.
